What do I bring?

  • My journey of seeing God work in me and through me. I have received healing and freedom, discovered my identity as a beloved son of the Father, and learned to tune into God’s voice and be led by the Holy Spirit.

  • I am a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary (1999), ordained in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in 2004. I went through PRMI’s Advanced Inner Healing and Deliverance course (2005-06)(www.prmi.org). I completed Soul Formation’s Academy of Spiritual Formation, and their School of Spiritual Direction (2019-22).

  • I have over 35 years of ministry experience in youth ministry, prayer ministry, men’s ministry; and for the past 13+ years as Executive Director of Tierra Nueva, an international, multi-ethnic ministry among those impacted by immigration, incarceration and addiction.

  • 20 years of involvement with the Dunamis Project (www.prmi.org) as participant, prayer ministry, worship leader and teacher, helping to teach and equip churches to grow in the power of the Holy Spirit.

  • 10 years of experience mentoring leaders, as sons of the Father.

  • My religious tradition includes having been raised in my early years in the Catholic Church, coming to a living relationship with Jesus through a non-denominational church in high school but not plugging into any church. I was involved with Young Life later in high school and in the college ministry at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle in my late teens and through my twenties. My involvement in youth ministry there and in other Presbyterian churches eventually led me to Fuller Seminary (Northwest) for further training and eventually ordination. Since the summer of 2000, I had encounters with the Holy Spirit that brought me into experiences of the goodness, love and power of God that reshaped my heart toward greater expectation and intimacy with God. That journey continues to get deeper and wider.

  • I have multiple levels of accountability. I have support and accountability through a regular spiritual direction supervision group and as part of Soul Formation’s Community of Spiritual Directors (www.soulformation.org), through my relationship to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) as a validated ministry, being under the Board of InFocus Ministries, and my advisory Board with Emmaus Road Ministries NW (Cari Armbruster, Kitsy Gregory, Iven Kauptman, Rev. Dr. James Kearny).
